The programme starts with the basics and gradually moves on to more advanced techniques. The first part of the course is dedicated to working with CD players to master basic mixing skills.

At the student's request, and depending on their progress, part of the lessons can be devoted to mixing on vinyl players. This allows you to get your first experience with records at a comfortable pace.

Upon completion of the course, you will have the opportunity to make your debut at a party and get a set ready for publication.

An introduction to the basic mixing algorithm using Pioneer XDJ-1000 players. Working with track tempo and BPM synchronization. Understanding the CUE function and learning how to set the starting point. Track structure: rhythmic grid, phrasing, strong and weak beats. Working with loops.

2. Working with a Mixer

3. Building Vinyl Turntables

4. Needles and Cartridges

An overview of various needle and cartridge models and manufacturers. What’s the difference between them and which ones are worth using. How to connect the needle and set up the turntable’s tonearm. What problems might arise, how to solve them, and how to avoid them.

7. Graduation Party & Mix Recording

Your moment to shine and a solid proof that you're a real DJ. After completing the course, the most dedicated students are invited to perform at a graduation party held at one of Kyiv’s venues. During the event, we record their mixes — which later serve as promo material for future gigs and career development.

I was satisfied with the DJing course and plan to take a level up course in the future to expand my knowledge and skills.

I was taught by Igor Zadorozhny. He explained everything in the most accessible way possible, and I felt very comfortable during the course. I believe that this is a perfect example of how training should be conducted, because in a comfortable atmosphere, information is easier to remember and skills are better practised :)

Also, I really felt the support after the course.

In general, thank you for the training, for the development of Ukrainian electronic music and the scene, and for supporting young artists! 🙌🏻
